DOMINICAN BEAUTY CENTER, or DBC, is the lastest "buzz", when talking about hair salons in Rockland County area.

No longer do we ladies have to drive 30 miles (one way, and on our days off) in order to get a decent hairstylist. Instead of driving to NYC,now...NYC has come to Rockland. Located on Route 45, along side of Hill Crest Plaza is Dominican Beauty Center (or DBC), a salon with style and class for women who know they want and indeed deserve a better level if professionalism, ambiance and service. So take hours off an already long day and say goodbye to those tiresome trips to the city.

Ambiance: One look at the salon itself, lets you know that you've finally found the right place for both you and your hair. From the moment you enter, you can see a difference from the usual boring, basic and/or out-of-date salon usually found in the area. Noticing the bold coloring and design of the salon, you'll know that the same enthusiasm and detailing that went into building the salon, will also be given to you. Color coordinated and designed with the client's comfort in mind, you begin to relax as soon as you sit. Your eyes will be greeted with a sleek, modern and organized look. The positive experience continues with a warm and friendly greeting, usually from the owner herself, Mayra. Coffee is offered to our clients, (on weekends) . We have tilted hairsinks to reduce the usual neck strains which occurs during a wash and central heating and A/C is maintained to keep you comfortable throughout your stay.

Line of Products: Another difference from most salons, is that DBC always uses only premium hair products from around the world. We never skimp or cheat when it comes to your hair. We use products renowned for their quality and results. Our shampoo, conditioner, perms, and sprays come from such companies as Mazani, Hawaiian Silk, Affirm, Precise, and unique Dominican Relaxers from the island itself. We also have a full line of European colors to get that exact tint and blend your hoping for. We also offer Mayra's own personal mix of conditioners which includes natural ingredients from the Caribbean and in particular, the Dominican Republic.

Hair Types and Styles: At DBC, we do all hair types and styles. Whether it be straight and fine hair, or curly ethnic hair, long or short, Mayra can do, your Doo. A master at relaxing even the most coarse of hair, Mayra chooses the right relaxer for your specific needs. If you have limp hair, she'll give the the right cut to increase fullness and bounce. Curly hair becomes straight and straight hair wavy. perhaps thats why one of the most common phases heard by the customers is "Mayra you work magic".
